Meetings continue with over 80 people from a variety of state and county government departments as well as several private solar companies/consultants, solar industy representatives, CA Farm Bureau, CalFire, CSAC and environmental associations.

November 2011: The project has split into two parts - Part 1, the Model SEF Streamlining Ordinance has been completed by the Working Group and is scheduled for review with the CCPDA Members on November 10, 2011. Part 2, the SEF Guidance Document is being re-drafted by a subcommittee that is meeting on November 09, 2011. July 06, 2011 - The CCPDA Model SEF Ordinance Working Group was held at the CSAC office, 11th and K St, Sacramento at 1:30 pm at the first floor meeting room. June 27, 2011 - The third meeting of the CCPDA Model SEF Ordinance Subcommittee was held with 12 members. The group completed work on the first DRAFT of the Model Ordinance.
June 20, 2011 - The second meeting of the CCPDA Model SEF Ordinance Subcommittee was held with 14 members. The group continued work and completed 2/3 of the Draft Model.
June 13, 2011 - The first meeting of the CCPDA Model SEF Ordinance Subcommittee was held with 15 members. The group reviewed the first draft that was developed incorporating the input from the previous two meetings of the full group. The Subcommittee reviewed and made changes to 1/4th of the document. The next meeting of the subcommittee is June 20th. The goal is to finalize this First Draft by June 27th. June 02, 2011 - Second Working Group Meeting (about 45 people attended in person and via conference call/WebEx). Work was done to complete the review of the 31 issues and strategies to address each issue that were raised on May 19th. As a follow up, a subcommittee of 15 members was created and tasked with developing a First Draft of the Model SEF Ordinance to be brought back for review by the full group. Once the full group reviews/comments and finalizes their input, the Final Draft will be brought forward the CCPDA Executive Committee for review and final approval and posting on this website for use by all counties.
May 19, 2011 - First Working Group Meeting (about 35 people attended in person and via conference call/WebEx). Work was done to complete the identification of issues relative to the permitting of SEF in CA. Work was also done to begin addressing the 31 issues.
