I think this is a great idea. We are working on a watershed and foodshed based approach to planning for sustainble city-regions. We think its important to keep the hinterlands and rural challenges in view as well --too much metro-centric bias in planning these days. We need holistic and integrated approaches. We plan a trip this summer to draw attention to watershed planning along the West Coast of North America.
