This is a staff report to be presented to our Board on October 20, 2009 regarding options for responding to the state's suspension of Williamson Act subventions. Among other things, it briefly reviews the potential for establishing a County-run program to replace the Williamson Act. The staff recommendation is to stay in the Williamson Act program but stop approving new contracts until the subventions are restored.
